Panasonic TH-46PZ80U Best picture ..by far for the price

After researching flat screens for the past 6 months or so (and watching the prices fall), this tv out shined all the others. The LCD TVs I looked at in this price range fell far short in picture quality, contrast, and motion detail. Panasonic has shown in tests by [.....] to have produced some of the best picture quality in the industy.
I picked it last week and the TV looks awesome!
Highly Recommended!

Panasonic TH-46PZ80U WOW-Excellent TV-Great Price-No Problem with Ordering

This has been not only the best experience I've had purchasing over the internet, but the best experience purchasing any item period. This product is clearer than clear if that is possible. We both were amazed at the quality of this item, especially because it was such a great deal on Amazon. I have been trying to find a nice flat screen tv for some time now, and when I narrowed it down to a plasma, I then checked out consumer reports magazine for the best deal and quality. This was it, and everything that was said in the magazine was true. In fact, I think it was under-rated. If I could afford it, I'd purchase one of these tv's for every room in my home. Do not hesitate to purchase this tv if you are at all on the fence. You'll be happy you jumped.

Panasonic TH-46PZ80U Awesome 1080P!

We found a great deal on this TV with an included blu-ray player in the pre-Thanksgiving specials, so it was time after years of watching (and coveting), to upgrade to HD.

The TV set-up is simple. The attached stand is easy to install, but you'll want to have another set of hands to steady it during assembly. Once standing up, connections are straight-forward. There are plenty of inputs on the back, but the HDMI inputs are the best way to go. Component cables should be your minimum, however, as you can't get 1080 with the "RCA" single yellow video input. The onboard tuner will decode HD channels through the coaxial input if compononent/HDMI cables aren't available.

The remote control is easy to use, with intuitive options and onscreen menus. Switching aspect ratio is a single button press to cycle through the available views. Many HD broadcast signals still output 4:3 images, especially for older shows, so we have found the "just" setting to be best at filling the screen without distorting things too noticably. Input selection is also a simple button press.

Our blu-ray player is not a Panasonic (long story, partly to blame for waiting so long to review) so I can't vouch for the Viera link capability. Even still, the TV input changes automatically when the blu-ray is powered on or off, so HDMI cables alone would seem to offer some linkage features.

Viewing angle is, as they say, virtually unlimited. Picture best from 8-10 feet away, but sitting closer is no problem. Football games have been the most fun so far, especially games where snow is falling. Watching Dark Knight as our first blu-ray experience was also an eye-opener, as we got to see the full 1080P potential for the first time. Overall the picture is amazing, and the TV a perfect size for our average-ish living room.

Recommended for anybody thinking of taking the plunge, especially with prices possible in the $1000 range if you're a smart shopper.

Panasonic TH-46PZ80U My first plasma flat screen

I've had my Panasonic TH-46PZ80V set for about a month now and love it. It has an amazing picture and none of the glare issues I've read about in other reviews (and our living room gets a lot of direct sunlight during the day). I'd recommend this set to anyone. I especially love the insert my camera SanDisk for an instant slide show. The set even automatically orients the picture. Amazon had the cheapest price, free delivery, and they even unboxed it and set it up. Amazing service. Thanks Amazon.

Panasonic TH-46PZ80U Great TV

After lengthly investigation, we bought this instead of an LCD Sony or Samsung because we though the LCD screens might get damaged too easily by our small children. After a month or so of use, we are very pleased with the Panasonic plasma. Great picture. No evidence of burn in. No significant problems with reflections, partly due to where we happen to use it. Only two small gripes: 1) For some goofy reason, Panasonic puts the channel up/down toggle on its remote controls where the volume up/down usually goes (on the left side), and its volume up/down where the channel up/down usually goes (on the right side). The remote is otherwise nicely designed. 2) The TV includes an SD card slot, which you can load up with photos, etc. They look great, but there is no random play feature on it, so if you have 500 photos on the card, you will always see Photos 1, 2, 3, etc; but never see Photos 498, 499, 500!

Panasonic TH-46PZ80U great TV, good value

We recently bought the Panasonic Viera 46in plasma TV. The price was good and the delivery time excellent. The TV itself has an excellent picture and the controls (remote) are easy to use. Set-up was a breeze. This was our first time to buy a large electronic from Amazon. We are very pleased with the experience and will consider other large electronic purchases in the future.

Panasonic TH-46PZ80U 46-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV,

This is as good as it gets. Great TV and a great company to do business with. The TV came by special truck and was setup by them in a few minutes. White glove service all the way. Oh, did I fail to mention it was the lowest price as well. $700 less than Best Buy!
